2008-2009 highlights:

• Volunteered at a children’s shelter in Atlanta, teaching the importance of exercise and nutrition through educational games.
• Brought baked goods to a local Ronald McDonald House and celebrated Valentine’s Day by decorating desserts with children and families staying there.
• Organized a group of 22 students to travel to a volunteer mission trip to FIMRC’s site in Trujillo, Peru in March 2009

2007-2008 highlights:

• Maintained active membership of over 130
• Volunteered in groups at local children’s hospital
• Held “art party” at local children’s hospital
• Ran informational booth on children’s health at women’s shelter health fair
• Held educational sessions on children’s dental care, eye care, and first aid for children at women’s shelter
• Organized group of 8 volunteers for a mission trip to FIMRC’s site in El Salvador in March 2008
• Held benefit dinner for students and Atlanta residents featuring Ethiopian and Indian cuisine, FIMRC presentations, guest speakers, and a silent auction of handcrafted items from around the world
