  • Hosted a “Ballin 4 Kidz” basketball tournament and invited pre-health student organizations to form teams to compete for prizes donated by local businesses. Proceeds from the event were used to cover program fees for chapter mission trips abroad.
  • Formed a team to participate in the 24-hour Relay for Life, which raised funds for the American Cancer Society
  • Held their 2nd annual three-part Children’s Health Awareness Day. In the first event, an Art and Speaker Night, the chapter hosted speakers including FIMRC’s Executive Vice President, FIMRC’s Director of Outreach, the head of a Kenyan medical relief project, the director of a San Diego-area community clinic, and a representative from a San Diego-area child obesity initiative. In the second event, an on-campus awareness festival, chapter members displayed signs and posters about international children’s health and sold baked goods and Korean barbecue to raise funds. The third event was a dance to raise funds through ticket sales and celebrate the chapter’s accomplishments
